Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase SETD7 is an enzyme that is encoded by the SETD7 gene.Enables histone H3 methyltransferase activity; p53 binding activity; and protein-lysine N-methyltransferase activity. Involved in peptidyl-lysine dimethylation and peptidyl-lysine monomethylation. Acts upstream of or within DNA damage response and heterochromatin organization. Located in chromosome and nucleolus.
